Tennessee Elder Justice Conference
Two days in Gatlinburg with state and national experts on elder abuse, exploitation, and neglect. Built for the people who handle these cases: Adult Protective Services staff, law enforcement, prosecutors, bank fraud teams, nurses and social workers, ombudsmen, and elder law attorneys.
Sessions cover multidisciplinary team practice, financial exploitation investigations, capacity and consent, and courtroom testimony. Continuing education units are available for several professions.

The full regional coalition meets quarterly. Meetings are open — you do not need to be a member or represent an agency to attend.

County coalition meetings
County affiliate groups are the core of the effort. Call the Coalition coordinator to confirm the next date in your county, or to start a group where there is not one yet.
Second Thursday, 9am
Case coordination, hospital and bank referral practice, and quarterly training swaps.
Third Tuesday, 10am
Joint group covering both counties, hosted in rotation between senior centers.
First Wednesday, 1pm
Rural transportation, homebound outreach, and utility assistance scams.
Fourth Monday, 10am
Tourism-corridor fraud, seasonal workforce caregiving, and faith community outreach.
Second Wednesday, 9:30am
Hospital discharge planning and long-term care ombudsman coordination.

We are rebuilding groups in these counties. Five committed people is enough to start.
Community information fairs
Free, open to everyone, no registration. Come for the handouts, stay for the ten-minute talks. We can also bring a table to your event.
Twenty agencies under one roof: benefits screening, legal aid intake, fraud prevention, and a free shredding truck.
County groups host purple-ribbon events, courthouse proclamations, and awareness tables at libraries and clinics.
Trained counselors, plus a session on the enrollment scams that arrive with the mailers.
