What your gift makes possible
Awareness campaigns
Radio spots, newspaper columns, purple-ribbon events for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and materials in the languages our neighbors read. Most people who call the hotline say they saw something first.
Professional training
Bank staff, sheriff's deputies, emergency room nurses, home health aides, and attorneys. Training is free to attendees, which means someone else pays for it — usually a donor.
Community education
Information fairs, speakers at churches and clubs, and support for county affiliate groups in the rural counties where a table at the county fair is the whole outreach budget.
Sponsor the conference
The Tennessee Elder Justice Conference in Gatlinburg brings state and national experts to East Tennessee every year. Sponsors keep registration affordable for the county staff who need it most. Banks, credit unions, law firms, health systems, and senior living providers are natural partners.
